Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TheScamHotline.com and your purchase and use of our digital products, operated by [ENTITY NAME, e.g. One Buck Capital LLC], doing business as The Scam Hotline ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase our products.
1. What We Offer
The Scam Hotline sells digital educational products designed to help families protect aging parents and other loved ones from scams and financial fraud. Our current products include The Parent Protection Playbook, the FOOLED ebook, Scam Damage Control, and the Family Wealth Shield (which includes 12 months of monthly live group Q&A calls). Products are delivered digitally — no physical items are shipped.
2. Educational Content Only — Important Disclaimer
Our products and content are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not legal, financial, investment, medical, or psychological advice, and purchasing our products does not create any professional-client relationship (such as attorney-client or advisor-client) between you and us.
We cannot and do not guarantee that you or your family will avoid scams, or that lost funds can or will be recovered. Scams evolve constantly, every situation is different, and outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
Our materials do not replace your bank or financial institution, a licensed attorney or financial professional, law enforcement, or official reporting channels (such as the FTC, FBI/IC3, or your state authorities). If you or a loved one is the victim of a scam, contact your financial institution and the appropriate authorities promptly. In an emergency, call 911.
3. Digital Product License
When you purchase one of our products, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the materials for your own personal, non-commercial use (including within your immediate family for the family-oriented materials). You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, publish, or share the materials publicly or with people outside your household;
- Copy substantial portions of the materials into other products, courses, or websites;
- Remove copyright or other proprietary notices;
- Use the materials to create competing products or services.
All content, including text, design, graphics, tools, and interactive guides, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We may revoke access if these Terms are materially violated.
4. Payment Terms
- Prices are listed in U.S. dollars on our sales pages and may change at any time; the price shown at checkout applies to your purchase.
- Payment is due in full at the time of purchase and is processed by third-party payment processors (currently Stripe / ClickFunnels Payments). We do not store your full card details.
- You agree to provide accurate billing information and to be authorized to use the payment method you provide.
- Access to digital products is typically delivered by email promptly after payment. If you do not receive access, contact info@TheScamHotline.com.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
5. Live Group Q&A Calls (Family Wealth Shield)
The Family Wealth Shield includes access to monthly live group Q&A calls, hosted via Zoom, for 12 months from your date of purchase. For these sessions, you agree to the following conduct rules:
- Be respectful of the hosts and other participants; harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior is not permitted.
- Do not record, screenshot, or redistribute sessions or other participants' personal stories without permission.
- Do not share other participants' personal or financial information outside the session.
- Do not use sessions to solicit, pitch, or promote products or services.
- Anything discussed on a call is educational information, not individualized professional advice (see Section 2).
We may remove any participant who violates these rules from a session or, for repeated or serious violations, from future sessions. Call schedules may occasionally change; we will provide reasonable notice and make-up availability where practical.
6. Acceptable Use of the Website
You agree not to misuse our website — including attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping content, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
7. Third-Party Services
Our website and products rely on third-party services (such as ClickFunnels, Stripe, Zoom, Meta, and Google). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of third parties, and your use of their services may be subject to their own terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Except as expressly stated in our Refund Policy, our website and products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [ENTITY NAME, e.g. One Buck Capital LLC] and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost money, lost profits, or losses resulting from scams or fraud committed by third parties — arising out of or related to your use of our website or products. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your purchase will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of our products or website.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your purchase will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at info@TheScamHotline.com and give us a good-faith opportunity to resolve the issue.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes apply prospectively; your continued use of the website after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
